Day 14 – tough day 24.5km (15.1 miles) of steep up and down terrain (Campbell Stadium on steroids).
We arrived in San Juan (population 50), at our Albergue (hostel) after a 7 hour trek. The cost is 5 euros a night. It is old with a 16th century courtyard. I must admit the creature comforts equal my 2 day local hospital stay earlier this year. They charged my insurance $10,000 per day. Wow!
Today I walked for Jessica (tough hills, beautiful countryside with lots of butterflies).
Now the day ends with rain; cooling off the day,
Next week we will be half way. The only way to our goal is to keep putting one step in front of the other.
