07/17 – The End of the Camino/ The End of The World

Fisterra Lighthouse at the end of the world

Day 41 – The Lighthouse above Fisterra  is considered the very end of the Camino (km 0.0) and also known as the end of the world (most western point in Spain on the Atlantic).  It is also known as a treacherous rocky point with many shipwrecks in its past.

Today we lay down our backpacks at the end of this 500 mile Camino quest.  We can now tip our hats to a journey of a lifetime.

Now we try to change our return from August 4th to to very soon.  Will the Delta gods speak kindly to this change?  Ready to see family and friends.

Going forward, a  major shift in my thinking “I would rather be walking”.

One final quote from REM ” It’s the end of the world as we know it.  It’s the end of the world as we know it.  And I feel fine!”
