Day 16 – Much better day!
Quick reflection about yesterday’s meltdown – In the movie “The Way” Martin Sheen, after much alcohol consumption had a melt down and ended up in jail. Fortunately I did not add the alcohol and Morgan would not have been happy if she had to bail me out. For this I am very thankful.
Today we ended up at an Albergue in Hornillos, this was a great group from France, England, Ireland and the US. Stefan from Canada brought a guitar and we drank wine and sang songs. Good times.
PJ was from the Royal Marines and recently served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is walking and thinking.
Chris a banker from Texas sold his home and all of his possessions. Now he is on the trail with his wife Jill and child. What is it about this trek?
Today I walked for my first born daughter Candace. I remember hiding her for the first time. Eyes so serious. She found her passion in Nursing. Full of jokes. People say she looks like me.
298 miles to Santiago.
