Day 28 – today we headed towards the mountains and tomorrow we climb to the highest point of the trek.  The Knights of Templar were here in the 12th century to ensure the safe passage of pilgrams.

Last night we reconnected with Chris, Jill and Brandon from Texas. Paella dinner was incredible.

Today we walked with Nedal from Nepal. We also walked with Asier a medical doctor from Victoria in the Basque region.  He is a monitor for a school group of teenagers.  They are teaching how to live with less and to connect with each other.  Today they give up their cell phones and must leave something at every village.  Good lesson.

It is hard to believe we only have 10 or 12 days yo Santiago.  We are now having lunch with Kim from Boston; Seamus and Paul from Ireland. They have been teaching English in Madrid.  People from all over are connected.

Most here do not know the meaning of July 4th.

150.8 miles to Santiago.
