Ready for the first rain day

Day 20 – What would make people get up at 6:00 AM to walk I the rain?  The cool rain was coming down as we suited up in our rain gear this morning. For reasons unknown to me every one was suited up and out the door starting at 5:00AM this morning.  What is it about the Camino?   Lucky for us, the clouds started to break up just as we left town.  The mostly overcast sky’s made for a cool walk.

Today we met Liz from Colorado.  She is walking for the third time.  It helps her stay strong as she works to lessen any effects from Parkensons Disease.  She teaches immigrant children English in the US.  She also volunteers at orphanages in Poland.  Seemed to be a very good soul.

We then spent a couple of hours walking with Carmen from Romainia.  It was great learning about her country and culture.  She spoke some English, I spoke none of her native tounge.

There is no other way you could meet so many people of the World.

This is the Camino.
