Day 36 – We are nearing the end. 2 more nights then we walk into Santiago. This 500 mile trek has been quite the odessy . Many challenges and triumphs. Nothing like it but after 36 days I am very tired and sore. This has been a life changing event that I hope to expand on later.
Last night we shared an 8 person room in an Albergue with the alliance we call the CIA. It is comforting to be with people we know and trust. For dinner Michael and Jess made a home cooked meal of chicken and potatoes. Oh, a home cooked meal. It’s pretty cool that we go our separate ways during the day but gather up at night.
On these final days many are on the trail; school groups, students and families. It’s quite a the festive atomosphere. Will they experience the magic of this trek?
Today I walked for my bonus family members. Michael who is like a son and Ashlee our beautiful daughter in law.
We are now in Galecia where octopus is the specialty. Tried some in Melide, a town we walked through today. Hmmm.
